Job summary

Good Drinks Australia is seeking a hands-on Assistant Packaging Supervisor to drive our Small Pack and Keg lines on a 3-week rotating roster across day, afternoon and night shifts. You’ll lead 8–10 packaging staff, coach performance, and partner with Brewing, Maintenance, Quality and Warehouse to keep production on track.

This role emphasizes safety, quality and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced craft

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• 1+ years' experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of HACCP, WQA, GMP and OH&S procedures.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the process/product knowledge to match (or the ability to learn quickly).
• Leadership, communication and hands-on problem-solving, with a safety-conscious, continuous-improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coaching a team of 8–10 packaging staff, including training, performance evaluation and coaching.
• Executing weekly production plans across Small Pack and Keg lines to meet output, quality and efficiency targets.
• Driving line performance optimisation and monitoring operational scorecard KPIs.
• Managing administrative systems (NetSuite, ELMO) and standard work documentation, including changeovers, checklists and handovers.
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP, WQA, GMP and OH&S procedures, and maintaining 5S cleanliness standards.
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams to optimise schedules, and escalating maintenance issues as needed.
• Responding to incidents or near-misses and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
