Job summary

Value Added Personnel Pty Ltd. is sourcing a Packaging Area Operator for an automated facility in South-East Melbourne.

You will oversee, service and maintain the packaging line, including case packer, date coder, palletiser, labeler and capper, aiming to minimise stoppages and ensure immaculate product presentation. The role requires GMP/HACCP knowledge, a minimum of 2+ years in packaging and a relevant trade or Certificate II/III in Process Manufacturing or mechanical qualifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating automated packaging lines.
• Experience operating case packers, cappers, labelers, date coders and palletizers.
• Ability to identify material misfeeds or equipment glitches before line stoppages.
• Attention to visual packaging quality and secondary packaging integrity.

Responsibilities

• Operate and service packaging equipment in the packaging zone (case packer, date coder, labeler, capper).
• Replenish consumables to minimise line downtime and maintain flow.
• Execute timely line changeovers between SKUs and formats.
• Perform basic quality checks on expiry codes, pack counts and seals.
