Refresco is seeking an experienced Packaging Specialist to join our Technical/NPD Commercialisation team. You’ll drive packaging innovation, sustainability initiatives, and governance across our beverage portfolio.

In this role you will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Commercial, Procurement, Innovation, and external packaging suppliers to lead new product development, packaging performance improvements, and cost optimisation while ensuring compliance and robust technical governance across

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Packaging Technology or related field.
• Experience in packaging development or engineering in FMCG.
• Knowledge of packaging materials (PET, rPET, HDPE, labels, films).
• Experience with new product development and commercialisation projects.
• Understanding of packaging sustainability frameworks and circular economy concepts.
• Experience working with packaging suppliers and manufacturers.
• Strong stakeholder management and project coordination.

Responsabilités

• Own and maintain the packaging specification library and document control.
• Support new product development activities including packaging trials and specification development.
• Manage packaging workflows within the NPD systems for new materials and product launches.
• Lead packaging cost optimisation projects including lightweighting and simplification initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve packaging performance issues relating to transport and line performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and packaging reliability.
• Support sustainability initiatives including rPET implementation and recyclability improvements.
• Coordinate ARL implementation and ongoing compliance requirements.
• Oversee GS1 barcode verification and product image management workflows.
• Act as the primary technical interface with packaging suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Develop packaging standards, line capability documentation, testing methodologies, and technical procedures.
