Job summary

Boeing Defence Australia, based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide, seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support the P-8A Poseidon program. You will perform maintenance, inspections, testing and fault-finding on aircraft systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality documentation.

Experience with military aircraft is desirable; certificate IV in Aeroskills is required, and Australian citizenship with security clearance is essential. A current drivers licence is also required.

The Opportunity

We're looking for skilled, driven individuals to join the P-8A Poseidon Program at RAAF Base Edinburgh, Adelaide. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you'll be hands‑on with maintenance, modifications, servicing, inspections, testing and fault‑finding on aircraft systems. You will:

• Collaborating with the MRO team to ensure efficient task completion,
• Ensuring compliance within the DASR Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) regulations.
• Fostering effective communication and coordination with Boeing, customers, and industry teams
• Ensuring Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and meticulous documentation practices.
• Embrace a positive attitude towards Environmental Health & Safety, prioritizing the well-being of all personnel.

What you will bring to BDA

As an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical, Avionics or Structures)
• Be an Australian Citizen to meet Defence security requirements
• Hold a current driver's licence.

Desirable

• Previous experience working with Military aircraft.
• Hold a CASA or DASA Maintenance Licence
