Job summary

Ontime Haulers Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a professional driver to join our Queensland transport team. The role is full-time with a depot in Archerfield, delivering to customer sites, palletised freight, tyre deliveries and retail stops.

You will load/unload, follow national COR regulations, communicate with dispatch, and use company technology while completing paperwork. The position offers professional, courteous service at every interaction and involves identifying delays or vehicle

Qualifications

• Owner operator with your own vehicle (any size)
• Current GST registration and insurances in place
• Valid licence for your vehicle type with a clean driving record
• Willingness to complete a medical including drug and alcohol testing
• Demonstrated experience as a professional driver in transport, courier or logistics
• Familiarity with local and regional Queensland routes
• Ability to load/unload safely with palletised goods and tyres
• Strong customer service with clear communication and a professional approach
• Basic admin tasks like delivery dockets and GPS-based tracking
• Ability to work full-time with flexible hours and to perform physical driving duties
• Understanding of workplace health and safety, fatigue management and road transport compliance

We offer courier, taxi truck and heavy transport services, from vans to B-doubles, with daily regional SEQ and Northern NSW runs, a 24/7 hotshot service, and cross-dock and 3PL facilities.

The role

This is a full-time role with our depot based in Archerfield, QLD, with deliveries to customer sites, covering local courier work, palletised freight, tyre deliveries and retail. You will:

• Safely operate and maintain your vehicle and complete scheduled deliveries on time
• Load and unload goods and verify delivery documentation
• Follow national Chain of Responsibility (COR) regulations and company safety procedures
• Communicate with dispatch and operations
• Use company-supplied technology and complete customer paperwork
• Provide professional, courteous service at every customer interaction
• Identify and report issues such as delays or vehicle concerns promptly

Essential requirements

• Owner operator with your own well-maintained, suitable vehicle (all sizes considered)
• Current GST registration
• All required insurances in place
• Valid driver's licence appropriate to your vehicle type, with a clean driving record
• Willingness to complete a medical, including drug and alcohol testing

Skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience as a professional driver in transport, courier or logistics, with a strong focus on safety and reliability
• Familiarity with local and regional routes across Queensland
• Ability to load and unload safely, handling palletised goods and tyres, and to use equipment such as trolleys, straps and tail lifts as required
• Strong customer service skills, including clear communication and a professional approach with clients
• Basic admin skills, including delivery dockets, manifests and mobile or GPS-based job tracking
• Ability to work full time, including flexible hours where required, and to perform the physical tasks of driving and deliveries
• Understanding of workplace health and safety, fatigue management and road transport compliance
