Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking a Linehaul Driver based in Mt Isa, Australia, with immediate start for a permanent full-time role. The position involves early-morning linehaul runs, two return trips weekly, and occasional yard work on non-driving days.

A kilometre rate applies for linehaul, with rostered shifts, RDOs and potential Saturday duties. Ideal candidates hold a current MC licence, have linehaul or long-distance heavy vehicle experience, and can work autonomously while prioritising

Qualifications

• MC Licence required and current.
• Previous linehaul or long-distance heavy vehicle driving experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of fatigue management requirements and safe driving practices.
• Experience completing vehicle inspections and defect reporting.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Excellent punctuality and ability to meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled linehaul runs to key customers with two return trips weekly.
• Operate heavy vehicles safely on long‑distance and regional routes.
• Ensure freight is loaded, secured and transported per requirements.
• Complete pre-start checks and daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain delivery documentation and keep truck and yard tidy.
• Adhere to hazard, near miss and incident reporting processes.
