Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced MC Linehaul Driver based at the Karawatha QLD depot for a night-shift Brisbane to Rockhampton Woolworths contract, hauling dry and refrigerated groceries.

You will operate Volvo automatic trucks on a Brisbane–Rockhampton linehaul with store deliveries in the Rockhampton area, motel accommodation for rest breaks, and a 6/4 fortnightly roster.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ linehaul driving experience.
• Experience operating B-Doubles and long-distance linehaul runs.
• All vehicles on this run are Volvo automatics; Road Ranger experience is not required.
• Current Blue Card in Transport and BFM accreditation.
• Strong understanding of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Karawatha depot prior to departure.
• Complete pre-departure checks and prepare your vehicle.
• Travel to Larapinta to collect trailers from the Woolworths site.
• Complete linehaul runs between Brisbane and Rockhampton.
• Complete up to three store deliveries in the Rockhampton area.
• Transport dry and refrigerated grocery freight.
• Complete required rest breaks in provided motel accommodation.
• Maintain high standards of safety, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility compliance.

Job description

Team Global Express is seeking an experienced MC Linehaul Driver to join our team based at our Karawatha QLD depot.

This is a full-time, permanent night shift position operating on our Brisbane to Rockhampton Woolworths contract, transporting dry and refrigerated grocery freight.

You’ll operate Volvo automatic trucks, travelling between Brisbane and Rockhampton with store deliveries in the Rockhampton area.

The Role

Based at Karawatha QLD

Night shift – 6/4 fortnightly roster

Brisbane to Rockhampton return linehaul

Departures generally between 7:00pm and 10:00pm

Monday, Wednesday and Friday departures to Rockhampton, returning Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Motel accommodation provided in Rockhampton for required rest breaks

1 RDO accrued each month – 11 RDOs per year

$37.6745 per hour for applicable work time

Kilometre rate paid for Brisbane to Rockhampton and return travel

Paid loading/unloading and store delivery time

15% superannuation

What You’ll Be Doing

Report to the Karawatha depot prior to departure

About You

To be successful, you will need:

BFM accreditation

Strong understanding of fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements

Good communication skills and a strong safety focus

Ability to work the required night roster and spend scheduled rest periods away from home

Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and a National Police Check
