Job summary

TheirCare in Geelong is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the OSHC service in a specialist school setting. You will oversee before/after school and holiday programs, coaching staff and ensuring high care standards in line with ACECQA guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have leadership experience in disability, education, or community services, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice within Victorian OSHC programs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in disability, education, or community services.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Behaviour management for children with high and complex needs.
• ACEQCA qualification or equivalent ACECQA recognition is preferred.

Responsibilities

The service is fully funded by the Victorian Government and operates at a high staff to child ratios to appropriately meet the needs of each participant (approximately 1 educator for every 2 children).

About The Role

Have the opportunity to help lead the OSHC service and support local families by providing quality before and after school care and holiday programs for their child in a specialist school setting

Help Plan and prepare child focused programs for school aged children in a specialist school setting

High staff to student ratio to ensure every child's individual needs are met (1:2, 1:1, 2:1)

Foster a positive team culture through coaching, training, and reflective practice

Rostering for your service with support from your Area Manager

Manage compliance documents and other administrative tasks

Liaise with families, school teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure individualised care

About The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the Program Manager role will have the following:

• You are an engaging individual who is passionate about making a difference in children's lives.
• Experience leading teams in disability, education, or community services
• Confidence in behavioural management for children with high and complex needs
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Exhibit our TheirCare values: Caring, Open and Engaged, In line with sector regulations, the following compliance documentation will be required for the role

Work Environment

• Completed or in the process of completing an ACECQA recognised qualification, including but not limited to, studies in Teaching, Childcare or Community Services. For the full list of ACECQA recognised qualifications in your state, please visit www.acecqa.gov.au
• Must be available to work during service hours: 10:00AM - 06:00PM and during school holiday periods (8:30am - 5.30pm)
• Employee Working with Children Check valid in Victoria
• Valid First Aid Certificate including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
• Child Protection Training / Mandatory Reporting
• Willing to obtain National Criminal History Check
