Job summary
Hornsby Shire Council is seeking staff to assist in the maintenance of parks, reserves and sports grounds across Hornsby Shire. The role focuses on safe operation of vehicles and equipment, administrative tasks related to vehicles, and efficient resource management in outdoor settings.
The position is outdoors across multiple sites, with a requirement for valid NSW licenses, white card and related certifications.
Qualifications
- Current NSW Class C Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Current MR Drivers Licence (desirable)
- General construction induction card (white card) (essential)
- Appropriate certificate to operate relevant plant item (desirable)
- Basic First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Chem-cert training for chemical use/storage (desirable)
- Traffic Controller Ticket (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Operate Councils Vehicles, including tractors, as required
- Complete administration and paperwork relating to vehicles efficiently
- Care for resources including plant, equipment, tools and materials in a safe, efficient manner
