Job summary

PLC Perth in Western Australia is seeking a qualified Outdoor Education Teacher for a permanent ongoing role. You will develop, co-ordinate and lead a range of Outdoor Education programmes across the college.

You will design and attend all year level OE activities, supervise staff and students, coordinate logistics, and ensure safety, compliance and high standards across all activities. The successful candidate will hold Outdoor Education and Teaching qualifications and be eligible for

Qualifications

Formal Outdoor Education and Teaching qualifications and be eligible for registration with TRBWA.
Previous demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating and conducting school based Outdoor Education programmes.
Exceptional communication and relationship building skills.
Strong team and collaboration skills, and the ability to lead and direct teams of OE instructors, teaching staff and others involved in OE programmes.
A passion for the Outdoors and developing the same love and enthusiasm in others.
Well developed risk management and contingency planning knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

Design & develop Outdoor Education programmes within the college.
Attend all Year level Outdoor Education programmes.
Coordinate & lead programmes as determined by the Director of Outdoor Education at the beginning of each year.
Lead and provide direction for internal and external teams of programme staff – coordinating activities and allocating responsibilities collaboratively.
