Job summary

Brisbane Grammar School in Brisbane seeks an Outdoor Education Teacher to lead a program for Years 5–11 at the Outdoor Education Centre. You will plan, implement, and review experiences, ensuring safety and learning through effective thinking cultures.

Applicants should hold a tertiary education degree and teacher registration, with a passion for the outdoors and the ability to work collaboratively in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with outdoor education and working with young people.
• Ability to plan, implement and review outdoor education programs.
• Registration with Queensland College of Teachers or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage outdoor education experiences for Years 5–11.
• Develop risk assessments, SOPs and logistical documents.
• Collaborate with centre staff and external groups.
• Coordinate expeditions and Duke of Edinburgh activities.
• Maintain program infrastructure and safety standards.
