Job summary

Morcofresh in Perth, WA is seeking an Outbound Manager to lead daily outbound warehouse operations, ensuring orders are picked, packed, checked, and staged accurately, safely, and on time. This role focuses on outbound labour planning, productivity, and stock accuracy to meet customer requirements.

You will coach Outbound Supervisors and front-line teams, maintain HACCP and SQF compliance, and optimize use of WMS/ERP systems across a high-volume distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in warehouse operations in food wholesale or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily outbound activities based on order volumes, stock availability, and dispatch cut-off times.
• Allocate work across supervisors and warehouse team members to ensure efficient completion of picking, packing, checking, and staging activities.
• Monitor progress and adjust priorities to meet customer deadlines.
• Ensure orders are accurately picked and checked with correct products, quantities, units of measure, weights, labels, and customer-specific packing requirements.
• Ensure completed orders are packed, identified, staged for dispatch.
• Plan labour requirements against forecast workloads, order volumes, and approved labour budgets.
• Monitor labour utilisation, overtime, attendance and productivity.
• Ensure outbound quality checks verify product condition, freshness, shelf life, quantity, and customer specifications before dispatch.
• Lead, coach, and support Outbound Supervisors, Pickers, and Packers to achieve targets.
• Ensure outbound activities comply with HACCP, SQF and food safety standards.

About the role

The Outbound Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating daily outbound warehouse operations to ensure customer orders are picked, packed, checked, and staged accurately, safely, and within agreed dispatch deadlines. The role is accountable for outbound labour planning, productivity, product quality, stock accuracy, and team performance. The Outbound Manager ensures available stock is supplied in line with customer requirements, operational targets, and company procedures while maintaining compliance with food safety, quality, and workplace health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily outbound activities based on order volumes, customer requirements, stock availability, and dispatch cut-off times
• Allocate work across supervisors and warehouse team members to ensure efficient completion of picking, packing, checking, and staging activities
• Monitor progress throughout the shift and adjust priorities to ensure customer orders are completed within required timeframes
• Ensure all customer orders are accurately picked and checked, including correct products, quantities, units of measure, weights, labels, and customer-specific packing requirements
• Ensure completed orders are safely packed, clearly identified, staged correctly, and ready for dispatch
• Plan labour requirements against forecast workloads, order volumes, operational priorities, and approved labour budgets
• Monitor labour utilisation, overtime, attendance, and productivity performance
• Ensure outbound quality checks verify product condition, freshness, shelf life, quantity, and customer specifications before dispatch
• Lead, coach, and support Outbound Supervisors, Pickers, and Packers to achieve operational targets
• Ensure all outbound activities comply with HACCP, SQF, company food safety procedures, and quality requirements

About you

• Minimum 3 years' experience in warehouse operations within food wholesale, FMCG, hospitality supply, or distribution environments
• Minimum 1–2 years' experience leading warehouse teams, supervisors, or operational workgroups
• Demonstrated experience managing outbound warehouse operations including picking, packing, checking, and dispatch
• Experience working in high-volume, time-critical distribution environments
• Experience managing labour allocation, productivity, and operational performance
• Experience working within food safety environments including HACCP and SQF requirements
• Strong frontline leadership and team management capability
• Ability to organise and prioritise work in a fast-paced operational environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP platforms
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm onsite full time.
