Job summary

Metro Trains Sydney is seeking an experienced Operational Technology Systems Engineer to join the Engineering & Maintenance Delivery team. You will manage OT systems administration and governance, and work with IT to strengthen cybersecurity across infrastructure.

You will audit standards, configure OT software, monitor alerts, and mitigate risks while coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement patches, upgrades and interface works in a risk-based cybersecurity program.

Qualifications

• You hold qualifications in Engineering, Cyber Security, Computer Systems or a related discipline.
• Proven background in industrial automation and control systems.
• Experience in OT network communications and industrial protocols such as Modbus, CIP, Profinet and OPC UA.
• You communicate effectively and manage stakeholders in changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage, audit, and implement cybersecurity and OT software configuration SOPs.
• Coordinate OT systems configuration, incidents, and systems administration.
• Monitor OT policy compliance with vendors and staff.
• Analyse security alerts, trends, and impacts to protect the OT footprint.
• Oversee security tools with partners and engineers for governance.
• Administer OT systems, profiles and user access controls.
• Lead changes, patches, upgrades and interface works for OT systems.
