Job summary

A leading rail freight operator in Queensland is looking for a skilled SOC/Incident Response professional to manage and respond to security incidents in hybrid IT/OT environments. Candidates should have a relevant tertiary qualification and at least 2 years of experience, along with certifications like CSA or CySA+. Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a SOC/Incident Response role.
• Proven ability to work across security incidents from detection to resolution.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage and prioritise alerts and incidents from hybrid IT/OT environments.
• Conduct in-depth investigations of suspicious activities.
• Coordinate and escalate security incidents to specialist response teams.
• Lead initial containment and recovery actions for incidents.

Skills

SOC/Incident Response experience

Scripting in PowerShell, Python or Bash

Experience with Splunk

Network security fundamentals

Education

Tertiary qualification in IT, Software Engineering, Networking or Cyber Security
