Job summary

YMCA South Australia is seeking an OSHC Service Director to lead our Riverdale OSHC team in Salisbury Downs. This part‑time role offers 31 hours per week, guiding staff to deliver outstanding programs that support children's growth and development.

You will shape the care, recreation, and education experiences, foster professional development, and uphold safety and quality standards across the service. Applications close 27 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in an OSHC setting, or equivalent (Required)
• HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting
• Certificate of completion for “Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care” (RRHAN-EC) Training
• National Child Safety Training (Foundation and Advanced, as required by Dept. of Education)
• Tertiary Qualification in Children’s Services (or relevant field) (Desirable)
• Strong leadership experience to staff, including training, quality improvement, support, and maintaining the standards of service (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Lead the OSHC team to deliver high-quality care and education for children.
• Inspire continuous learning and professional development among educators.
• Foster a supportive work atmosphere and ensure service standards are met.
• Oversee program delivery, safety, and compliance to policies and regulations.
