Job summary

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is hiring an OSHC Permanent Educator in the Melville area to support delivery of engaging before and after school care for primary students. You’ll build meaningful relationships with children, families, your team and the wider school community.

Shifts are term-time, 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with extra hours available during school holidays. The role offers a split shift model and growth opportunities within JAG, supported by a collaborative team

Job Description

As an OSHC Permanent Educator, you’ll work in the Melvillearea, where you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful, ongoing relationships with children, families, your team, and the wider school community. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of engaging before and after school care programs for primary school-aged children. From time to time, you may also have the opportunity to support nearby services across the region when additional support is needed.

Weekly shifts and hours: 12.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, across after school care shifts during term time. Extra hours available during school holidays too!

Stay and Play: Term-time afternoon shifts from 2:45pm - 5:15pm
School Holiday Program: Additional shifts may be available during school holidays, within program operating hours of 6:30am-6:00pm

Qualifications
  • A genuine passionfor working with children.
  • A team player with aspirations to grow and learn in the role
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!)
  • State working-with-children check.
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)

To be considered for this role, you will need to hold or be actively working towards a relevant ACECQA-recognised qualification, such as:

  • WA First Qualified Educator - Have completed a relevant qualification to work as a First Qualified Educator in WAin accordance with ACECQA
  • WA Qualified Educator - Working towards or have completed a relevant qualification to work as a Qualified Educator in WA in accordance with ACECQA
