Job summary

TheTheirCare Pty is seeking Outside of School Hours Care Educators for the Newcastle area, offering hybrid work-from-home options for select shifts. This casual role supports OSHC and holiday programs.

You will help children feel safe, included and excited, bringing energy and creativity to each session while delivering memorable experiences for children, families and staff. Prior childcare exposure and ACECQA qualification progress are preferred, with state checks and first aid optional.

Qualifications

• Experience in childcare or OSHC is advantageous.
• Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children.
• Willingness to work early mornings, afternoons, and school holidays.
• Must be able to obtain relevant state Working with Children checks.
• First Aid certification (HLTAID012) is desirable.
• Compliance with mandatory reporting and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Help children feel safe, included, confident & heard
• Bring your creativity, energy & personality to the program

• Be open, caring and engaged with our team to help drive our mission of giving every child the best day ever.
• Previous experience in the childcare industry is ideal.
• Working towards or have completed an ACECQA approved qualification.
• EmployeeWorking with Children's Checkvalid in your relevant state.
• Valid HLTAID012 First Aid in a Childcare Setting (Desirable)
• National Child Safety Training Certificate via Gecko.
• Required Mandatory reporting & Food Safety certificates in your relevant state
• Availability requirements: 6:30am-9:00am, 2:30pm-6:30pm & Optional 6-8 hour shifts during school holidays.
