Job summary

Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane – Nambour OSHC is seeking a caring educator to support before and after school care and vacation programs. You will plan age-appropriate activities, supervise children, and collaborate with the team to ensure safe, engaging experiences.

Role is casual/temporary, based at St Joseph's OSHC, Nambour, with opportunities for additional shifts. A passion for children and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA approved equivalent.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2; Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded.
• Experience in an inclusion support role or a Certificate III in Individual Support is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Engage and supervise children in a safe and supportive manner during before and after school care sessions.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote learning, creativity and social development.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Maintain a clean and organised OSHC environment.
• Comply with all relevant policies and regulations.
• Join excursions and special events during vacation care.
