Job summary

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is seeking casual OSHC staff to join the Helping Hands Northgate team. This role is designed to fit around your timetable, whether you’re a uni student, a parent, or seeking flexible work while you study or care for family.

Guaranteed minimum 10 hours per week with two split shifts: 6:30am–9:00am and 2:30pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Pay ranges from AUD 27 to AUD 38 per hour, with extra pay for split shifts and family-friendly benefits.

Qualifications

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
• A genuine love for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, safe activities for primary school children during OSHC sessions.

Qualifications

While we’re happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we’re looking for:

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
• Must have valid Australian work rights.
