Job summary

St Mary's OSHC Maryborough is seeking a casual Educator to provide warm, nurturing care before/after school and during vacation care on the grounds of St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Maryborough. There is potential to support other OSHC services in the Hervey Bay region and to step into an RP role for career progression.

You will design engaging activities, work within a supportive team, and help create a fun, safe environment for up to 45 children while upholding our safety and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Hold (or are working towards) a Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services or an ACECQA approved equivalent
• Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check) required
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications preferred
• Mandatory Child Protection training experience (Geccko) is highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, nurturing care for children across before school, after school and vacation care
• Create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all
• Design and deliver fun, inclusive recreational and educational experiences
• Maintain positive working relationships with all team members
• Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure best outcomes for children and families
• Join excursions and special events during vacation care
