Job summary

The Y Australia is recruiting casual Educators to support our Peak Crossing Outside School Hours Care program. You’ll help create a safe, inclusive space for primary-aged children before school, after school and during school holidays.

We offer a not-for-profit environment with development opportunities, flexible hours between 6.00am–9.00am and 2.00pm–6.00pm, and a focus on wellbeing, rock-solid supervision, and skill-building for both kids and staff.

Qualifications

• Hold or be studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow.
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play.
