Job summary

YMCA Stanthorpe is recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join the Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis. You’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the holidays.

As part of a not-for-profit, you’ll support children's wellbeing and confidence through play, with structured and spontaneous activities, while benefiting from funding support, training, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar.
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity.
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain) and a Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with Vacation Care activities.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow.
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play.
