Job summary

Star of the Sea Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) in Cleveland is seeking a confident OSHC Coordinator to lead a service that places children, families and the school community at its heart. You will oversee daily operations, develop engaging programs and mentor a team to deliver high‑quality education and care.

Based at Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School, the role offers a permanent full‑time leadership position with a competitive salary, strong governance, and access to Catholic Early

Qualifications

• Diploma in Children's Services, Early Childhood Education or ACECQA-approved equivalent.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in OSHC or education and care sector.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
• Solid understanding of NQF, My Time, Our Place, and National Law & Regulations.
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Current Child Protection Training.
• Experience with childcare management software; Xplor is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the OSHC service and ensure high-quality education and care.
• Develop and evaluate engaging programs reflecting children's interests and needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.
• Lead, mentor and develop Educators; foster a positive workplace culture.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, school staff and the community.
• Maintain compliance with NQF, National Law & Regulations and CEP policies.
• Oversee service administration: rostering, documentation and quality improvement.
• Strengthen partnerships with the school and local community engagement.
• Plan and deliver excursions and Vacation Care activities.
• Empower Educators to contribute ideas and professional growth.
