Job summary

Big Childcare is seeking enthusiastic, caring casual Before & After School Care Educators to support our Wungong Primary School service. You’ll help create a safe, engaging environment for children before and after school and during vacation programs, with activities spanning sports, arts, cooking and creative play.

You’ll join a team that values wellbeing, teamwork and flexible casual work across multiple services, with a focus on making every day enjoyable and educational for children.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain/maintain required checks (WWCC, National Police Check).
• Experience in OSHC or childcare is valued.
• Currently studying towards, or holding, an ACECQA‑approved qualification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun, safe and engaging environment during before- and after-school care and vacation programs.
• Engage children in activities across games, sports, arts and crafts, cooking and creative adventures.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate programs and activities.
• Set up, run and tidy away activities, equipment and food service areas.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all children.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and compliance requirements, and build positive relationships with families and school staff.

About the Role

You’ll help create a fun, safe and engaging environment forchildren during before-school care, after-school care and our action-packedvacation care programs.

What will you be doing?

• Keepingchildren engaged with fun, educational and recreational activities.
• Gettinginvolved in games, sports, arts and crafts, cooking and plenty of creativeadventures.
• Helpingplan and deliver exciting, age-appropriate programs.
• Settingup and packing away activities, equipment and food service areas.
• Creatinga safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every child feelswelcome.
• Followingour policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
• Buildingpositive relationships with children, families, school staff and yourfellow BIG team members.

About You

You're energetic, approachable and passionate about making apositive difference in children's lives. You enjoy being part of a team, canthink on your feet and aren't afraid to jump in, get involved and have fun!

You’ll bring a caring attitude, a reliable approach and a genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing and development.

• Avalid Working with Children Check.
• Experiencein OSHC or childcare is highly regarded.
• Currentlystudying towards, or holding, an ACECQA-approved qualification.
• Availabilityfor morning and afternoon split shifts.
• ANational Police Check issued within the past six months, or willingness toobtain one.
• Reliabletransport to travel between services in the northern suburbs, if required.
