United Workers Union is seeking an Organiser to work with members in the Orange/Bathurst region, building workplace power and delivering meaningful outcomes. The role focuses on organising, bargaining support and developing workplace delegates to strengthen UWU across assigned areas.
The successful candidate will empower members to lead, recruit new workers, and sustain organising structures while advancing social justice and union values.
United Workers Union is entering an exciting new chapter.
With new leadership comes renewed purpose, fresh energy, and a clear ambition: to build the strongest organising union in Australia that wins for workers.
We are looking for passionate, driven and values-based Organiser who want to be part of shaping the future of one of Australia's largest and most influential unions. This role is available in the Orange/Bathurst region.
If you believe workers achieve more when they stand together, enjoy building relationships and thrive in campaigning environments, we'd love to hear from you.
We believe unions are strongest when members lead.
That's why, United Workers Union is one of Australia's largest [and fastest-growing] member-led unions, representing workers across a diverse range of industries that keep our communities running every day. Every day we organise to improve the lives of working people and create lasting change.
We do this by pulling every lever to build worker power - growing membership, developing workplace leaders, supporting delegates, organising collective action and campaigning for better wages, safer workplaces and fairer communities, including campaigning both politically and in the community.
As we move into our next chapter, we are investing in growing our organising capability, developing our people and strengthening member-led campaigns across the country.
As an Organiser, you will work alongside members to build workplace power and deliver meaningful outcomes. This role is about far more than resolving workplace issues. It is about empowering members to lead, building sustainable workplace strength and helping shape the future of our Union.
The role also involves enterprise bargaining and industrial relations work, including supporting members through bargaining, workplace negotiations and industrial issues.

If you want to be part of a Union entering an exciting new era and are looking for meaningful work, ambitious colleagues and the opportunity to make a lasting difference, we would love to hear from you.
Together, we'll build stronger workplaces, stronger communities and a stronger union.
