Healthscope Brisbane Private Hospital is seeking dedicated Theatre Orderlies to join our supportive theatre team on a casual or part-time basis. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role offers flexibility across shifts, with weekend on-call options and benefits including discounted parking and meals. Experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not essential, and successful applicants will undergo necessary checks

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Must be willing to obtain required police checks and working rights (National Police check, WWCC where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Create a hospitable environment for patients.
• Collaborate with nurses, medical officers and staff.
• Move patients using wheelchairs or beds.
• Support ward areas with equipment and supplies.
• Assist with patient transfers to appointments.
• Follow directions from Nurse Coordinator.
• Work as part of a team and independently.
• Be adaptable to different shifts and settings.
• Prioritise and organise tasks with minimal supervision.

About us:

Brisbane Private Hospital isa 181 bed facility, which providesexpert care in fields such as orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastics, urology, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.The hospital is centrally located on the fringe of the CBD with excellent public transport access.

As a Theatre Orderly your responsibilities will include:

• Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients
• Work as an active team member with nurses, medical officers, external providers and administrators
• Movement of patients within the Hospital eg. In Wheelchair or Bed
• Supporting Hospital ward areas eg. Equipment supply
• Assisting with the transfer of patients to and from appointments
• Taking direction from Hospital Nurse Coordinator.
• Work as part of a team and independently
• Willingness to learn and adaptable to different situations
• Experience in a hospital environment or similar preferred but not essential.
• Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision
• Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills
• Flexibility, reliability and ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to work across a number of different shift times and duration.
