Uri Park, a 350-hectare citrus and almond orchard, is seeking a full-time Orchard Hand in Darlington Point, NSW. You will support day-to-day operations, assist with tractors and irrigation systems, and help implement best-practice agricultural standards under the guidance of the Orchard Manager.

The role requires attention to detail, basic understanding of orchard machinery, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.

Qualifikationen

Are you an experienced Orchard Hand looking for a full-time role in Darlington Point, NSW?

Our client, Customised Farm Management (CFM), is an independent agricultural asset management company operating large-scale assets across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and the Northern Territory. Its diverse portfolio includes citrus, almond, pistachio and kiwifruit orchards, irrigated summer crops, dryland winter cereals and livestock.

The Role

Join the team at Uri Park, a 350-hectare citrus and almond orchard, as a full-time Orchard Hand.

Located in Darlington Point, NSW, Uri Park has access to water from the Murrumbidgee River and good-quality bore water.

Supported by the Orchard Manager, the applicant will conduct day to day operations as well as work alongside contracting operations as required. The application should have attention to detail & a basic understanding of orchard machinery & operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement "Best Practice" agricultural systems and standards to support citrus production in consultation with the Orchard Manager
• Perform general day to day operations (and personally operate where required) a range of tractors and tractor-drawn machinery throughout the season.
• Maintenance of irrigation systems, farm machinery & other plant and equipment.
• Ensuring operational timelines are met.
• Understanding and implementation of all WH&S procedures and protocols

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in citrus and almond production, irrigation and fertiliser (highly regarded but not essential).
• Well organised with excellent time management skills.
• Well-developed computer skills and a willingness to utilise technologies
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Current Chemical Certificate essential (essential or prepared to obtain/renew)
• Telehandler license (highly valued but not essential)
