Job summary

Singtel Group, via its Optus Summer Intern Program, invites students to join a 3‑month Finance internship in Australia. Starts November 2026 and runs to February 2027 at our Macquarie Park campus in Sydney, with on‑site work and access to learning workshops and networks.

The program offers exposure to Commercial Finance, Billing & Credit, FP&A, Networks Finance and Financial Operations, helping you build essential finance skills and professional networks for a future graduate pathway.

Qualifications

• University or TAFE equivalent qualifications accepted include Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Risk or related disciplines
• Be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Be willing to work predominantly from our state‑of‑the‑art campus in Sydney, Macquarie Park
• Be available for the full duration of the program, commencing November 2026 and concluding February 2027

Responsibilities

• Support financial decision-making through performance analysis, commercial insights and growth initiatives
• Manage customer billing, payments, credit risk and revenue assurance to ensure accurate cash collection
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting to support business decisions
• Provide finance support and analysis across network investments and consumer products and services
• Oversee core finance operations, including financial transactions, reporting, controls and process improvements

Our program commences November 2026 and concludes February 2027.

Finance Internship Program

• Commercial Finance: Supports financial decision-making, including performance analysis, commercial insights and customer-focused growth initiatives.
• Billing & Credit: Manages customer billing, payments, credit risk and revenue assurance to ensure accurate and timely cash collection.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Leads financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting to support business decisions.
• Networks Finance: Provides finance support and analysis across network investments and consumer products and services
• Financial Operations: Manages core finance operations, including financial transactions, reporting, controls and process improvements.

Qualifications That Suit This Program

University or TAFE equivalent qualifications accepted include, but are not limited to:

• Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Risk or related disciplines

To be considered for this program, you will need to:

• Be an Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Be an enthusiastic and dedicated learner currently in your penultimate (2nd or 3rd) year or final year of tertiary studies
• Be willing to work predominantly from our state-of-the-art campus in Sydney, Macquarie Park
• Be available for the full duration of the program, commencing November 2026 and concluding February 2027
