Job summary

Lumotive is seeking a temporary Technician to perform hands-on tests on LCM devices, the core of Lumotive's beam-steering chips. Work occurs in a controlled clean environment with careful handling of delicate optical parts and precise test record-keeping.

The role suits someone who enjoys precise lab work and takes pride in getting every detail right. Candidates should have a technical certificate or associate degree in electronics, photonics, optics or related field and experience in a lab

Qualifications

• Requires attention to detail and strict adherence to written procedures.
• Experience in controlled clean environments such as cleanrooms or ESD labs.
• Careful handling of delicate optical components, lenses or semiconductor parts.
• Experience operating test or measurement equipment in lab or production settings.
• Accurate data entry and basic computer skills.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in electronics, photonics, optics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Run test equipment to characterize LCM devices according to written test procedures.
• Handle, load, and unload optical parts without scratching or damaging them.
• Follow clean-environment protocols including gowning and ESD precautions.
• Inspect parts before and after testing and flag defects or contamination.
• Record test results, serial numbers and observations in logs or systems.
• Report equipment problems or deviations promptly to engineering lead.
• Keep test stations, fixtures and tools organized and ready for use.
