Job summary

CooperVision Limited is seeking an Optical Worker – Store person in Torrensville, SA. You will assemble and dispatch orders, receive stock and perform general warehousing duties to support daily operations.

The role requires prior warehousing experience, accuracy, and the ability to work independently with a proactive attitude, plus flexibility for overtime and adherence to WHS rules.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar warehousing role.
• Ability to work unsupervised with a can-do attitude.
• Available to work overtime when necessary.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good understanding of WHS requirements.

• Assemble orders using Voice Pick or RF handheld.
• Pack and scan orders for dispatch with JDA Pack Stations.
• Unpack, sort and store inbound goods with RF devices.
• Replenish warehouse locations accurately using handheld devices.
• Conduct cycle counts of stock with RF devices.
• Operate materials handling equipment.
• Train new or casual staff on order assembly and RF use.
• Collaborate to achieve department KPIs and follow safety procedures.

Job Description

The Optical Worker – Store person will accurately & efficiently assemble and dispatch all order types, receive and put away inbound stock and any other warehouse duties that are required.

Responsibilities

• Order assembly using Voice Pick or a handheld RF device.
• Packing and Scanning orders for dispatch using JDA Pack Stations or Multi Scanner Stations.
• Unpack, sort, and put away incoming goods using handheld RF devices and ensure the task is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Replenish warehouse locations accurately and efficiently using handheld RF devices.
• Accurately cycle count of stock using a handheld RF device.
• Operation of materials handling equipment.
• Training of new or casual staff in the order assembly process, scanning and RF handheld use.
• Work as a team member helping to contribute to the department’s achievement of the KPIs.
• Follow work instructions and procedures.
• Work safely and adhere to company safety procedures.
