Job summary

Oscar Wylee Strathpine is seeking an Optical Dispenser or experienced retail sales professional to join our Strathpine team in a full-time role. You will work closely with our Optometrists and retail team to provide personalised service, helping customers find eyewear that suits their prescription, lifestyle and personal style.

You will dispense lenses and frames based on prescriptions, offer styling advice, and contribute to a welcoming, high-quality in-store experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in optical industry or 2+ years retail sales experience.
• Previous experience with store opening and closing responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and basic mathematical skills.
• Confident, proactive and clear communication skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Genuine interest in eyewear, styling and developing new skills.
• A positive, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and personalised eyewear styling advice.
• Dispense lenses and frames based on prescriptions provided by our Optometrists.
• Help customers choose eyewear suited to their needs, lifestyle and personal style.
• Build genuine relationships with customers and create experiences that keep them coming back.
• Support the day-to-day operation of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
• Work collaboratively with your team to deliver a great customer experience and achieve store goals.
