Oscar Wylee Pty is seeking an Optical Dispenser in Sydney to blend fashion retail with eye care. You will give personalised eyewear advice, dispense frames per prescription, and foster lasting relationships with patients while handling daily opening and closing duties.

The role offers opportunities to learn about eyewear trends, work with a supportive team, and progress within a fast-paced retail environment in The Galeries store, central Sydney.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in optical industry, or 2+ years retail sales experience
• Reliable with store opening/closing duties
• Strong attention to detail with basic mathematics
• Confident, clear and proactive communicator
• Capable of building trusting relationships with customers and coworkers

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding eye care and eyewear styling advice tailored to each patient and customer
• Dispense lenses and frames based on prescription from our Optometrists
• Build trusting relationships with patients and encourage repeat visits
• Assist with opening and closing procedures daily

Job description

The Optical Dispenser role seamlessly blends together fashion retail and healthcare. The diverse responsibilities of the role involve:

You will work closely with your fellow team members to ensure customers receive individualised and professional fashion advice and eye care, so they can take home frames that suit their personal style, and allow for perfect vision!

• Providing outstanding eye care and eyewear styling advice tailored to each patient and potential clientele who enter the store.


• Dispensing lenses and frames based on the prescription of each patient, provided by our Optometrists.


• Building meaningful and affirmingrelationships with our patients- give them a reason to visit us again!


• Assisting with the opening and closing procedures everyday.

About You:

• 1+ years experience in the optical industry, or 2+ years retail sales experience


• Reliable with previous experience in store opening/closing duties


• Strong attention to detail with basic mathematical skills


• A confident, clear and proactive worker with strong communication skills


• Capable of building trusting and respectful relationships with co-workers and customers alike


• A go-getter with a positive and friendly manner, ready to provide customers with outstanding service!
