Oscar Wylee Pty Ltd. is seeking an Optical Dispenser in Brisbane, blending fashion retail with eye care.

You will provide personalised eyewear styling and professional eye care advice to customers, helping them choose frames that suit their style and prescription. In this role you will dispense lenses and frames based on prescriptions from our Optometrists, build trust with patients, and assist with opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in optical industry or 2+ years retail sales experience.
• Reliable with store opening/closing duties.
• Strong attention to detail with basic mathematical skills.
• Confident, clear and proactive communicator.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Provide eyewear styling and eye care advice tailored to each patient.
• Dispense lenses and frames based on prescriptions from our Optometrists.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients to encourage return visits.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures daily.

The Optical Dispenser role seamlessly blends together fashion retail and healthcare. The diverse responsibilities of the role involve:

You will work closely with your fellow team members to ensure customers receive individualised and professional fashion advice and eye care, so they can take home frames that suit their personal style, and allow for perfect vision!

• Providing outstanding eye care and eyewear styling advice tailored to each patient and potential clientele who enter the store.
• Dispensing lenses and frames based on the prescription of each patient, provided by our Optometrists.
• Building meaningful and affirmingrelationships with our patients- give them a reason to visit us again!
• Assisting with the opening and closing procedures everyday.

About You:

• 1+ years experience in the optical industry, or 2+ years retail sales experience
• Reliable with previous experience in store opening/closing duties
• Strong attention to detail with basic mathematical skills
• A confident, clear and proactive worker with strong communication skills
• Capable of building trusting and respectful relationships with co-workers and customers alike
• A go-getter with a positive and friendly manner, ready to provide customers with outstanding service!
