Job summary

Oscar Wylee is seeking an Optical Dispenser to join our Westfield Woden store in Canberra. You will provide personalized eyewear styling and eye care guidance, dispense lenses and frames per prescriptions, and help maintain store operations.

This role blends fashion retail with healthcare in a dynamic team setting. The position involves opening/closing duties and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Job description

The Optical Dispenser role seamlessly blends together fashion retail and healthcare. The diverse responsibilities of the role involve:

You will work closely with your fellow team members to ensure customers receive individualised and professional fashion advice and eye care, so they can take home frames that suit their personal style, and allow for perfect vision!

• Providing outstanding eye care and eyewear styling advice tailored to each patient and potential clientele who enter the store.
• Dispensing lenses and frames based on the prescription of each patient, provided by our Optometrists.
• Building meaningful and affirmingrelationships with our patients- give them a reason to visit us again!
• Assisting with the opening and closing procedures everyday.

About You:

• 1+ years experience in the optical industry, or 2+ years retail sales experience
• Reliable with previous experience in store opening/closing duties
• Strong attention to detail with basic mathematical skills
• A confident, clear and proactive worker with strong communication skills
• Capable of building trusting and respectful relationships with co-workers and customers alike
• A go-getter with a positive and friendly manner, ready to provide customers with outstanding service!
