Job summary
Carejobz is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse with ophthalmic scrub/scout experience for a private hospital in Kingswood, within Sydney's Nepean Health Precinct. The hospital operates four theatres and a 12-bed ward for overnight stays when required, with ophthalmology as the main surgical workload.
This is a permanent part-time role with two shift patterns starting at 6:30am and 11:00am.
Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- At least one year of ophthalmic scrub/scout nursing experience.
- Demonstrable ophthalmic scrub/scout experience is essential.
Responsibilities
- Scrubbing and scouting for ophthalmic surgical lists.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments and equipment.
- Anticipate surgeon and procedural requirements during ophthalmic cases.
- Collaborate with the theatre team to support safe patient flow.
- Provide support across other surgical specialties as needed.
