Sims Limited is seeking an Operator to join our recycling facility in a permanent afternoon shift. You will operate a range of mobile plant including forklifts and excavators, sorting and processing ferrous and non‑ferrous metals. Unloading, storage, and dispatch duties support daily operations.

Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of our recycling facility. This is a permanent afternoon shift position, with working hours generally 12:00pm to 8:00pm, however flexibility is required as finish times may vary based on operational requirements.
In this hands‑on role, you will operate a variety of mobile plant and equipment, including material handlers, excavators and forklifts, to sort, grade, and process ferrous and non‑ferrous metals.
You will also support the day‑to‑day running of the yard by assisting with the unloading of materials, maintaining site housekeeping standards, and contributing to a safe, productive, and well‑organised work environment.
Working as part of a dedicated team, you will ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
