Job summary

Sims Limited is hiring an Operator 2 in Western Australia. Reporting to the Yard Manager, you will operate forklifts, excavators and other machinery, grade and process ferrous and non-ferrous materials, and maintain quality and safety across operations.

You will be responsible for accurate documentation, achieving targets, and supporting a zero-harm, environmentally responsible workplace while delivering reliable service to customers.

Qualifications

• Holds relevant licences to enable duties
• Identify and assess health, safety and environmental hazards
• Identify and implement actions to achieve targets and improve efficiency
• Complete workplace documentation and share relevant information
• Identify and participate in improvement strategies
• Perform basic inspection of loads/stock for quality and quantity
• Maintain general housekeeping and clean plant/equipment

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, excavators and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Grade, inspect and process ferrous and non-ferrous materials with accuracy.
• Focus on customer service when grading and purchasing material.
• Ensure quality standards are met and follow procedures.
