Job summary

WorkPac is seeking an experienced mining equipment operator for a pre-strip mining environment in Queensland. The role involves operating CAT 793 Haul Trucks and combinations with D10/D11 Dozer or Grader, performing pre-start checks, and supporting production targets while adhering to site safety standards.

You must hold a Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, a current Australian driver’s licence, and be able to provide Training Transcript, LMS Record, or Signed Skills List.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAT 793 Haul Trucks and heavy equipment.
• Certification: Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Ability to provide transcripts or LMS records on request.

Responsibilities

• Operate within a pre-strip mining environment.
• Operate CAT 793 Haul Trucks, D10/D11 Dozer, or CAT 16M/18M/24M Graders.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks.
• Work safely to achieve production targets and site objectives.
• Follow site safety procedures and operational requirements.
• Contribute to a high-performing production team.

What You Will Be Doing

Operating within a pre-strip mining environment, including combinations of the following equipment:

• CAT 793 Haul Trucks and;


• CAT D10 and D11 Dozers and/or;


• CAT 16M, 18M, and 24M Graders


• Conducting pre-start inspections and equipment checks


• Working safely to achieve production targets and site objectives


• Following site safety procedures and operational requirements


• Contributing to a high-performing production team

What You Will Need

Demonstrated experience in one of the following combinations:

• CAT 793 Haul Truck + D10/D11 Dozer or;


• CAT 793 Haul Truck + CAT 16M/18M/24M Grader or;


• CAT 793 Haul Truck + D10/D11 Dozer + CAT 16M/18M/24M Grader


• Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical

• Current Driver's Licence
