Operations Support Manager - Early Childhood Education & Care

Explore & Develop early childhood education and care services are individually owned and operated and trade collectively under the Explore & Develop franchise brand. Our organisation is privately owned and has been operating for 20 years. With 27 locations across NSW and the ACT, our people strive to provide the highest quality education and care, with 87% of our services rated as Exceeding.

The Explore & Develop Support Office are seeking the skills of an experienced Operations Manager / Workplace Trainer to join our Support Office team. You will be based in Lane Cove, but travel to our services on a regular basis to support and guide our services in all aspects of operations, compliance, pedagogy and practice.

Qualifications & experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience running a service at Director level
  • Degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher
  • TAE Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Valid working with Children Check
  • Knowledge of the NQF, Education & Care Services Regulations & Law, EYLF, NQS, A&R Process
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and achieve outcomes
  • Strong understanding of pedagogical practice and research
  • Proven ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Can do attitude and the ability to multi-task
  • Team Player

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Verbal, written and face to face support guiding practice and pedagogy delivery ensuring embedded practices
  • Operational support in line with regulations
  • Mentor and assess Certificate III and Diploma Trainees
  • Build strong, collaborative partnerships with all Franchise owners and their teams
  • Provide support and guidance through the A&R Process
  • Contribute ideas to our annual Professional Development calendar and facilitate sessions with Educational Leaders and Nominated Supervisors
  • Contribute ideas and look for ways to enhance, innovate and improve systems and support delivery.
