About the role

Driven by sustainable growth and a customer-first approach, we’re offering a career-defining opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team, leading our Knockdown Rebuild, Acreage, and Complex Projects division.

You will have the natural ability to identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and adapt to changes in the business environment. You will be instrumental in fostering a positive organisational culture, building and leading high-performing teams, and driving initiatives that contribute to the company's long-term success.

Reporting to the General Manager-Operations and working closely with our executive management team you will have exposure across the entire business.

Whilst based from our head office on the Gold Coast in Queensland, New South Wales residential construction experience is also highly regarded.

Qualifications & experience
  • A min. 3 years’ experience working within a similar role for high volume residential builder
  • Strong leadership skills / high level organisational skills
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to collaborate and communicate well with others
  • The ability to take on a task, own it and drive results.
Tasks & responsibilities
  • Identify talent, create your own highly efficient team to achieve targets and outputs
  • Management of all teams to ensure the pre-site workflow process runs efficiently, effectively and with accuracy within each department
  • Report on department outputs and staff requirements to achieve the desired results
  • Achieve weekly budgets for Contracts Signed, BA lodgements, BA approvals and Site Starts
  • Management across multiple departments- Drafting, Customer Service, Contracts, Permits, and Sales Estimating
  • Working closely with our Permits teams to achieve desired outcome
  • Provide mentoring and clear managerial direction
  • Creation and regularly review all process, procedures, work practice and systems with a view to have the most effective and efficient pre-site experience for our customers
  • This role requires someone who can be hands on, can set up a new team, provide support to our customers as required, problem solve, be solutions focussed and drive outputs / results.
