Job summary

PrixCar Services Pty invites an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Vehicle Processing Centre in Willawong, Brisbane. You will define how labour, facilities and finance are allocated to meet short and long-term goals, while ensuring safety, quality and on-time vehicle processing.

The role requires proven leadership, hands-on decision making and the ability to engage with clients. You will drive continuous improvement, maintain training records and manage stock and yards across inland

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and ability to develop and implement management strategies.
• Experience with monthly P&L reporting and variance analysis.
• Proven track record in operations and people management.
• Hands-on operator capable of quick decisions and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vehicle production and yard operations at inland facility locations.
• Consolidate and analyze output requirements to meet production services.
• Control and allocate labour within budget and operational requirements.
• Liaise with clients and Client Liaison Officers for timely vehicle processing.
• Arrange and maintain training requirements, training records and skill matrix.
• Supervise the parts store to ensure stock levels and quarantine defective parts.
• Ensure PrixCar’s Quality System and total quality management are understood.
• Promote and foster a continuously improving service culture.
• Perform quality audits and implement corrective actions where necessary.

PrixCar Services is an automotive logistics company specialising in Vehicle Transport, Vehicle Processing and Storage, Fleet Conversions and Dealer Vehicle Storage.

The Position:

We have an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to efficiently manage the direct day-to-day operational activities of our Vehicle Processing Centre in Willawong. This role is suitable for someone who possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and implement successful management strategies. This role will lay out the who, what, when and how of our daily operations – defining how our labour, facilities and financial resources will be allocated to achieve our short and long term goals.

What you will do:

• Monthly P&L reporting, investigate and articulate variance


• Oversee and manage all vehicle production and yard operations at our inland facility locations


• Consolidate and methodically analyze output requirements to effectively meet our production services


• Control and allocate labour including Prixcar staff and agency within budget / operational requirements


• Liaise and interface with clients and Client Liaison Officers to ensure timely vehicle processing


• Arrange and maintain training requirements, training records and skill matrix


• Supervise the operations of the parts store to ensure adequate stock levels and quarantine of defective parts


• Ensure PrixCar’s Quality System and total quality management is implemented and understood for all aspects of service, workmanship, procedures to satisfy the company standards


• Promote and foster a continuously improving service culture


• Perform and assist with quality audits and implement any corrective actions where necessary

What you will bring:

• A proven conscientious operational leadership with a passion for effective processing operations, HSEQ & service delivery


• Ability to engage with team members at all levels and utilise your relationships to achieve operational KPIs and efficiencies.


• Demonstrated background in superior operational performance and people management


• Experience as a hands on operator who can make decisions on the run


• Ability to take ownership, can operate independently and sees things through to conclusion

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in the auto industry


• Mechanical/ electrical aptitude
