Rentokil Initial in Australia seeks an Operations Excellence Manager to align field execution with digital platforms, driving next-gen processes and resilient supply chains. You will report to the Operations Director - Australia and steer cross-branch initiatives to elevate performance.

You will lead data-driven decision making, deploy field technology, and mentor a high-performing team, delivering sustained growth across the region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior operational leadership experience with direct P&L accountability.
• Experience leading large, distributed or remote field-based teams.
• Strategic and commercial acumen to spot industry trends and drive outcomes.
• Experience managing digital platform rollouts and regulatory compliance (RTO).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a coaching leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational excellence strategy across Australia and Trans-Tasman operations.
• Lead the deployment of field technology and migration of training systems (to U+).
• Drive proactive workforce planning, resource productivity and cost optimization.
• Partner with procurement and suppliers to reduce costs while supporting sustainable supply chains.
• Maintain WHS/OHS compliance and robust governance across the network.

What You’ll Own: Core Priorities

• Service Productivity & Data Insights: You will systematically analyze field data (leveraging systems like Service +) to rebalance resources, maximize ROI, and trial modern service delivery models. You’ll build intuitive, user-friendly reporting that gives frontline managers clear operational visibility.
• Digital Transformation & Technical Leadership: Own the operational digital agenda. You will lead the deployment of field tech, drive the migration of operational training systems to U+, maintain our Registered Training Organisation (RTO) credentials, and maximize the My Rentokil platform as a competitive advantage.
• Resource Management & Strategic Sourcing: Partner directly with Operations and Local Service Managers to embed proactive demand recruitment planning routines. You’ll analyze retention data, drive leadership capability programs, and resolve capacity vs. demand challenges across branches.
• Supplier, Fleet & Environmental Strategy: Drive our sustainability agenda through smarter fleet usage and green supply chain choices. You’ll partner with procurement, 3PL suppliers, and global stakeholders to reduce cost of goods while driving eco-friendly operational models.
• Safety, Compliance & Governance: Protect our people and brand reputation by maintaining 100% compliance across WHS/OHS laws, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and robust governance structures.

What Success Looks Like in Year 1

• SOS & QOS Targets Delivered: Achieve On-Time Service delivery month-in, month-out, alongside top-tier Quality of Service audit metrics.
• Optimized Resource Capacity: Embed structured ways of working that balance demand with hiring pipelines, significantly lowering turnover across field teams.
• Seamless Cross-Functional Operations: Establish a unified "One Way of Working" across Trans-Tasman branch networks, successfully launching new product innovations to market.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Team

• Proven Leadership: At least 5 years of senior operational leadership experience with direct P&L accountability, managing large, distributed, or remote field-based teams.
• Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to spot industry trends, simplify complex operational issues, and make tough commercial decisions that yield tangible business returns.
• Continuous Improvement Experience: A background in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), trialing operational amendments, and leading large-scale procedural and cultural change.
• Technical & Digital Capability: Comfort managing digital platform rollouts, leveraging customer-facing tech, and maintaining regulatory frameworks (such as RTO compliance).
• High Emotional Intelligence: Exceptional relationship-building skills across all organizational levels, with a coaching style that empowers frontline staff and nurtures future leaders.
• Qualifications: Business Degree/Diploma (or equivalent practical experience); national leadership experience is highly preferred.
