Job summary

CFC is seeking an Operations Analyst in Melbourne to join the Finance team. You will support compliance and operations, conduct testing, and improve workflows to drive growth. A tertiary qualification and strong Excel skills are essential.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, handle data integrity and produce operational reports to enable informed decision‑making in a fast‑paced insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and data management skills.
• High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to take ownership, use initiative and manage competing priorities.
• Experience in data analysis, reporting or operational support roles is highly regarded.
• Experience in financial services or insurance is advantageous.
• Exposure to system testing, process mapping, workflow improvement, compliance, claims or underwriting operations would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate operational reporting and data analysis, including binder-related reporting
• Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and other testing for new systems, enhancements and process changes
• Analysing and supporting the resolution of system, process and operational issues
• Supporting new systems and processes that enable revenue growth and strategic initiatives
• Mapping, documenting and improving operational workflows and procedures
• Identifying opportunities for system enhancement, automation and control improvements
• Supporting data integrity and operational initiatives across Compliance, Claims and other business areas
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to support change and continuous improvement
• General administration and office duties as required
