Job summary

Unknown company seeks an Operational Risk & Compliance Lead to drive risk governance across a broad remit in the Inner West/Western Sydney region. You will lead an established team, partner with senior stakeholders and embed effective risk and regulatory practices across the business.

You will oversee risk frameworks, regulatory change, financial crime controls and governance improvements, ensuring compliance obligations are met while supporting responsible growth.

Qualifications

• Significant experience across operational risk and/or compliance in financial services.
• Experience at senior management level leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, controls and assessments.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Significant experience across operational risk and/or compliance within a regulated financial services environment.
• Previous experience operating at a senior management level with responsibility for leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk frameworks, controls and risk assessment methodologies.
• Sound understanding of financial services regulatory and compliance obligations.
• Exposure to broader compliance frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to advise and influence senior leaders.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to balance regulatory requirements with practical business outcomes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications.
• Experience holding formal regulatory or compliance responsibilities would be highly regarded.
