Job summary

Goulburn Valley Water is seeking an Operational Engineer to join the Operational Support & Integration team. You will provide expert engineering advice across capital projects and asset acquisitions, bridging project delivery with operations to enhance asset performance and service reliability.

The role requires engagement with multidisciplinary teams, strong analytical skills and a focus on safety practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (mechanical, civil or environmental) is required.
• Diploma or higher in Project/Contract Management (or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience as a Mechanical Engineer within water/utilities sector desirable.
• Extensive experience in project, program and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Represent operational requirements in capital planning, project delivery and asset management activities with technical engineering advice.
• Partner with operational teams to identify opportunities and improve asset performance.
• Contribute to project management activities including business cases, planning, resource management and oversight of minor capital, major maintenance and asset acquisition programs.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation and adoption of new technologies and processes across Service Delivery.
