Job summary

Talent in Canberra is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer (OpenShift & Cloud Automation) to contribute to private cloud and container platforms within a major Federal Government environment.

This role involves designing, deploying and automating OpenShift/OpenStack at enterprise scale, developing IaC, automating provisioning and building CI/CD pipelines with Ansible, GitOps and ArgoCD while improving security and reliability of platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing and supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong Linux administration skills and private cloud/virtualised infrastructure management.
• Automation expertise including IaC, GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability solutions.
• Understanding of container orchestration, networking and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and automate Red Hat OpenShift and OpenStack infrastructure at scale.
• Develop automated provisioning, configuration and scaling for container platforms.
• Implement monitoring/observability to improve visibility of performance.
• Build and maintain IaC, automation scripts and deployment pipelines.
• Configure and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Ansible, GitOps and ArgoCD.
• Support developer environments and tooling to streamline delivery.
