Job summary

Cumberland City Council is seeking a Team Member for the Open Space team to maintain and service council open spaces, sportsgrounds and gardens across the Cumberland City area. The role ensures spaces remain in excellent condition, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.

You’ll perform a range of maintenance tasks, assist with customer satisfaction, and travel across worksites as required. Requires WHS knowledge and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Current C class driver’s licence is required.
• Demonstrated experience operating parks maintenance small plant and equipment.
• Competency in using front deck or mid mount mowers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; able to complete paperwork clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Cumberland City Council open spaces, sportsgrounds and playgrounds.
• Ensure spaces are safe, well presented and accessible for the community.
