South Gippsland Shire Council is seeking a Coordinator Open Space to lead the Open Space and Environment team in delivering parks, gardens, trees, public amenities, landscaping and open space services across the municipality.

The role provides strategic and operational leadership, ensuring compliant practices, safe operations and continuous improvement in asset management and service delivery. You will work with managers, staff, contractors and community partners to enhance public spaces.

Formación

• Experience leading parks, gardens, open space services.
• Strong asset management and safety leadership.
• Experience managing budgets and contracts.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate Parks & Gardens, Urban and Rural Trees, Public Amenities and Landscaping teams to deliver safe, high-quality open space services.
• Develop, implement and monitor maintenance programs, schedules and inspection activities to meet asset standards.
• Contribute to strategic plans such as Open Space Asset Management Plan and Tree Management Plan.
• Provide leadership in asset management, using data and inspections to set priorities and budgets.
• Manage customer enquiries, service requests and complex issues with timely resolutions.
