Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia is seeking an Open Pit Mine Surveyor to join the Sunrise Dam surveying team on a permanent 8/6 roster, with flights to Perth and Kalgoorlie. You will coordinate surface survey data to support production and planning, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a mine surveying degree or diploma and 2+ years in open pit mining, with strong Deswik/MDM skills and a readiness to collaborate across sites and contractors.

Qualifications

• Degree or advanced diploma in mine surveying is required.
• Two or more years of open pit mining experience preferred.
• Experience with surface remotely piloted aircraft systems is a plus.
• Authorised mine surveyors certificate (Grade 2) or working towards this is preferred.
• High level computer proficiency with surveying software is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular updated spatial data as the mine advances for budget development.
• Execute surveying services for weekly plan implementation.
• Contribute to building and maintaining surveying team capability.
• Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with SHE&C plans in surveying.
• Collaborate with Tropicana, Sunrise Dam, contractors, and regional unit to maximise value.
