Job summary

Wesley Mission's Wesley Out of School Hours Care is seeking a Centre Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operation of the Quakers Hill OOSH service and act as the Nominated Supervisor.

You will manage a vibrant team of educators, ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, and work closely with an Area Manager to deliver high-quality programs for children before and after school and during vacation care.

Qualifications

  • Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a Children’s service
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating a team
  • First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
  • Working with Children Check
  • DEC approved Child Protection Training
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong organisation and multi-tasking
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Prepared to work split shifts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible and patient
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office

Seeking a vibrant team of educators, be the Nominated Supervisor and be in charge of the day-to-day operation of the service.

Lead a well-established OOSH service with the support of a values driven not for profit organisation that genuinely invests in its people. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced OOSH professional ready to take ownership of a service while being well supported.

About the role

As the Centre Coordinator, you will lead a vibrant team of educators, be the Nominated Supervisor and be in charge of the day-to-day operation of the service. This role suits an experienced OOSH professional who enjoys hands on leadership, values strong relationships, and is confident managing compliance within a supportive organisational structure. You will have the autonomy to lead your service while being backed by an experienced Area Manager and a wider organisational network. To be successful in this position you will have strong leadership qualities, be passionate and love working with children. You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic and dedicated to providing children with the best possible childhood experiences. You will also have a cooperative approach to working with stakeholders.

  • an Early Childhood Education and Care qualification or equivalent

  • ability to direct the development, planning, implementation and review of innovative, stimulating, high quality
  • programming for the service
  • First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualification

  • current Working with Children Check

  • proven organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
